2005 Conference

Call for Speakers

PHP Quebec is proud to announce the PHP Quebec Conference 2005. We are looking for the best speakers who are willing to share their experience and skills with an educated crowd of PHP programmers from eastern Canada and USA. PHP Quebec 2005 will feature 4 distinct tracks:

  • Professional PHP, with PHP user cases.
  • PHP Advanced Technics, covering in-depth details of PHP technics.
  • MySQL, the most popular Open Source database.
  • Apache and the popular ASF projects.
  1. Sessions must be held in English or French.
  2. Sessions last one hour, with a 15 minute question period.
  3. Sessions will be recorded for the production of the CDROM.

Date and location

PHP Quebec 2005 will take place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Dates of the conference are Thursday March 31st and Friday April 1st 2005.

Speaker Package

PHP Quebec covers travel and lodging for speakers during the conference. Speakers will have full access to the conference.

Submitting your proposal

We are accepting session proposals on this online form below only (form). Please, fill every field. You may submit several distinct proposals.

Proposals that are incorrectly detailed, badly written, sent using any other mean than the form below or written in any other language than English or French will be ignored without explanation.

Submission deadline

We will be accepting proposals during November 2004 and begining of December. The deadline is December 10th, 23h50, Montreal time.

Session Selection Process

The conference board will receive all valid proposals that potential speakers will be submitting, and will review every one of them. The choice of a session will be based on the presentation of the session, its value to professionals and on the location of the speaker, so as to promote local experts. Submitters will be contacted individually about their session, accepted or not. All decisions taken by the conference board are final.

* We do not use the word count as a selection criteria, but the quality of the proposal is very important.
